Help Support 4GTuner:

If you just buy from Haltech online store , it was $1895 for the long flying lead kit and the wideband was and extra $349. plus $20 shipping. There are cheaper ones on Gumtree but I wanted a warranty so I bought new and price wasn't too big an issue for me as I had the last computer for 10 years.

Re your mounting issue, I just saw these while I was having a look around.

Ive been using the pS1000 for about 2 years now and all is going well, of course as you know ECUs are only as good as the tuner. Getting the cold start right was a little challenge but we got there in the end. Its been great with data logging too, it outputs via CAN to an AIM data logger!

As for mounting, we just used some zip ties and mounted under glove box. I'm sure there's somewhere you can zip tie to under dash and tuck away.

Cold start is fantastic with the base map at the moment and the car is driving well, but my warm idle is a touch lean because the car has a slight intermittent stumble only at idle when warm. as far a cable ties, it was what I thought about but just thought that was dodgy. In the MGB they have a old single speaker centre console in front of the gear shifter just under the dash. well that's where the ps1000 is sitting now all hidden.

:p we are a haltech dealer not listed on the site because we need to sell hundreds of systems per year, but we are on their system as an official dealer, we have been a dealer for ages also authorized to offer clubs and good customers discounts.we have tuned a variety of models; n/a ch lancer, ce turbo conversion, VL commodore, r33 skylines, s13, s14, s15, sw20 mr2's jza70/80 supra,

I prefer the older E models for simplicity like Geo&Kez said they are good value for money and they do everything most people would ever need, the next step up is a big step $$$$$$$$

never had an issue with Mitsubishi installs , idle steppers work good , proportional, integral and derivative can take a while to get right, Mitsubishi hall effect sensors and haltech work really well together

we have had some issues with cheap side feed injectors on supra and sw20 mr2 installs, replaced them with good quality injectors and gremlins went away

sw20 mr2 3sge and 3sgte with magnetic reluctor distributors need to be converted to magna hall effect, otherwise rpm signal is erratic and when held 3000 rpm will bounce to 3500 and back to 3000, makes it impossible to tune those sites and ugly drivability in that part of the map, has happened with one of our wire ins and two other vehicles using plug in patch looms made for sw20, I have heard fc3s and fd3s have similar issues same goes for 4agze,4age.

Its a universal affordable unit and it would be impossible to cater for every single type of injector, sensor, ignition input,, if the ignition input it so shit that haltech can't decipher a clean ref and sync signal then you probably can't rely on that sensors input anyway, unless you own a $$$$$ ecu.

We are not allowed to advertise discounted prices on our website or ebay, If you need something let me know and I try my best to get you a better deal, of course we make a little for out time but in the end you get it cheaper and everyone is happy, some discounts can be substantial, even a mixed item group buy would work in our favour.

^^
I'll get in touch with you guys re the IQ3 dash. About ready to pull the trigger on one and would like to see what you could do for us price wise. Will get a PM to you during the week.

i to am starting to think seriously about an aftermarket ecu (with flex fuel sensor) but i'm probably a few years from being ready to pull the trigger

Personally I think their plug/pin accessories and patch looms are overpriced for what they are
Sure they save somebody time and effort wiring the car up, but for physically what they are IMO is a bit steep (and Im a Haltech customer with Haltech E8 ECU, patch loom, idle control, coil packs, sensors and accessories)
You could probably make copies of the patch looms and sell them for half the price and still make a profit lol.
Im not bagging the product at all, but any which way to save some $$ off Haltech's inflated RRP is a bonus

direct plugin systems have replaced the patch looms and this product has been discontinued and they are selling off the last remaining stock

I agree mate times are tough and no doubt people are looking to save a $1 where ever they can and if businesses can't restructure to accommodate the current situation in the economy then they might find themselves in a financially awkward position with little or no cash flow.

Their is a time to make profit and their is a time to just move stock and stay afloat small businesses can adjust quickly and find a way to manage but bigger businesses need to be careful coz it can turn ugly real quick with no cash flow.

I do see your point and I also expressed this view to one of the haltech staff when i was quoted $500 for a sr20det patch a few months back . customers will turn to a cheaper alternative because they have so many options, in the end haltech loses out

A friend of mine had some looms made in china for ls2 coils to suit rb25 and the price was so ridiculously cheap, but i would be checking everyone of the looms before I sent them to a customer.

I messaged them today basically telling them I we will be selling their products at my cost price to get the ball rolling , I don't see why it would matter, I'm working for free and I can pm any evidence required to prove this,at the end of the day I get some exposure and marketing out of and I don't mind paying for a sponsor fee on the site.,

No reply from them lol , oh well I will call them tomorrow if you guys wana organize a group by of mixed items then i have some ammunition to approach them with.

Geo&kez HALTECH IQ3 Display Dash - Reads Vnet Sensors and includes Internal CAN Interface Module to read Haltech ECU info/senso $788 + gst my price not a good start lol not many people get good deals on these , I'm sure I've seen similar units if not exactly the same somewhere ;) ;) ;) ;) what were they called again ;) ;) ;) :)

I was on a better rate, but they changed the rate system in may still get good prices on other items

I was trying to hint earlier but no one picked it up but I'll just come out and say it

racepack which you can buy out of the states for $650 ;)
