yeah that's what sti docklands has told him, so once he gets it tuned he's getting the 1st couple of gears strengthened, especially as he's running a button clutch at the moment

Go see Darren at AFAS. He did the gearbox in REXNFX, Chris's car has a helical cut gearbox (from memory) and he crosses the line at 117mph in 3rd gear.. its a VERY tough box but they are like $5000 + !!!!

Im running low 12s (12.44 @ 112mph) on STOCK evo box with 4 puk custom clutch.. Got to love the evo's!!!

just got a call from darren today bout my car.. so far it seems to be just the headgasket.. so that's fine.. but he won't know for sure till he pops the head open and has a proper look..

Dude i officially have the slowest evo in AUS!!!!
Only cracked a 14.02 with ridiculous clutch slip all the way to 3rd

new clutch should wipe a clean second off that see how we go next time

we talked to chris as well about it... not sure how deep dil's pockets are...

yeah i know evo boxes are pretty sweet... i would rather an evo over a rex, however rexes are cheaper for a newer car.. plus dil had some constraints when purchased the rex which meant that he couldn't buy an import and he also had constraints on which dealer to go to...

i ran into rexnfx on warrigal rd the other day... if i didn't know any better i would have thought it was a stock rex with a zorst...

anyways, that white evo with the black bonnet was f-ing hot!
