Help Support 4GTuner:

We are running a bit late from Dre picking me up from the city but we are just filling up and we are so there...

Good fun guys and girls....
Some broken lancers.
Galants were all unharmed.
Great to see the old faces and meet some new ones also!

Was another awesome day out at Heathcote today! I blew my centre diff on the 3rd run which resulted in my car ending up being RWD for the drive home. Reeled off a 12.5@112 which was mediocre- but acceptable considering I only had around 2.5 hours seat time in my new clutch.

Was good to meet PI3RRo- stoked you smashed your P.B.... 11.3@119 backed up with two 11.5's.

Barry's car looked amazing as always- 136mph is awesome!

Tim, smashed his P.B also! 11.4@130 or something crazy like that!

Lionel's car looked tough out there today!!

The yellow, manual Supra trapped 160+ mph. Sounded insane. The RS4 wagon was my fave ride there today- even though he fried his clutch trying to do a burn out whilst staging.

Pics up shortly!

I ran a13's with a 3 second 60 and an 11.3 with a 2 second 60.

A whole new ball game with this setup for me.
I'm going to either need:
1. anti lag
2. dry ice
3. nos
Or all of the above to get power off the line!

Bogging at 7k rpm launches!
Gutless down low...

I think I need a new battery. Thanks for the push starts fellas!

was that with the slicks baz? might be better for now with roadies, might get a bit of wheel slip off the line so it doesn't bog.

1st run, ET not recorded , so being the 1st time I have done this I, of course, read the 1000 ft as my time, I was rapt!!! Was a 13.0. Silly me!! Came crashing done on second run, did a 15.1469, though in the end I was pretty pleased with that, 3rd run was not so good, 15.38, but I think was due to going for 5th when I ran out of revs in 4th. Was chatting to one of the guys there, learn't that 60 ft times are critical, mine not so good at 2.54, 2.3 & 2.4 and if I could pick up .1 of a second there I could pick up .2 of a second on ET, which means I could be hitting high 14's with my current mods, extremely encouraging!

Would have done some more but ran out of time, due to delays etc. Hugely impressed with all the runners there, felt a bit embarrassed to be honest!

Baz check your logs of the Dyno the other day. If you battery is sucking volts from the alternator it might be why you had a miss and had to gap the plugs down.

Jason

yep, and dwell time on the coils compared to the voltage, are you running ls coils baz?

Great photos Dre!

I'm running Cdi pro14 with msd 8232 coils. There is no dwell on Cdi. I believe the problem was caused by my battery. Basically my battery had a dead cell. So the alternator was providing all the current. This would have caused a fluctuating dc supply. I normally have 13.6 volts but in this case it was lower. Cdis also stop working at low voltage which explains a few teething issues on the dyno and on the day.

I reckon I was running about 300kws on this day. I'm planning to remove my exhaust flap because I have a feeling it closes at higher rpm. Im also going to advance my cam timing to bring on the power earlier to help me get off the line.

Upgrade my radiator cap. Insulate my bonnet or just swap to the cf one (the coils were arching on the bonnet when closed).

Plus play with suspension.
