Heathcote Test 'n' Tune Sunday 25th of May

4GTuner

Help Support 4GTuner:

Yeah there were some timing issues in the afternoon. I suggest getting there early. Plenty of cars had 4-5 runs before lunch.

Some photos are on Fullboost

Nice pics. We got there ages before lunch, but with the fact that the staging lanes were poorly marshalled, meant that everyone had to wait for AGES just to get scrutineered. The staff there had different opinions when it came to the rules in the pits/staging area. I got told off by someone just after I had done the right thing and asked someone else what to do before I did it. The kids in charge of the prinouts were struggling to cope too. They lost my printout, and didn't really seem to give a flying fark.

*sigh* if only there was the perfect drag strip out there!

anyway, here's some pics!

I know the owners very well, to be honest they were undermanned, didnt expect that sort of turnout. There were more cars there than they have at most events with prizemoney. Good day for spectating, maybe not the best for racing.

I was taking video on the startline all day. When I capture it I'll let you know.

Who had that blue EVO5/6, massive clutch slip, it stunk the startline out :?

Yeah I saw it down the end of the return road, and stuck my head into the engine bay and it was still smelling! It got towed home by the yellow proton!

anyone know if they made it back ok?

Yeah was a bit feral

My brothers camera had some shit on the sensor that's why some pics you can see a dark mark on the cars. He wasn't going to open the sensor up and clean it at the track too risky.

yep we got it home ok.

new clutch is in line already

our reasons for not going back is that it was a poorly run day times were farked and preferences were given to v8's over imports.

i have a timeslip here that has no times and just a mph.

my first run i ran a 13.06 @ 117mph.

not too bad considering i was just driving it off the line due to a damaged rear diff.
was happy with my mph should be able to put down a good time once the rear diff is fixed.
