hey guyz as u may have read off the vr4 tech pages im having a few issues with my vr4 ecu etc.....

i was just wondering if some1 with an evo1-3 could do me a favor

with the stock MAF it has a 7 pin connector on the end.....can some1 get a multimetre and chuck the ign on and check the voltages of every pin..... i got 12v on a few and 5v on a few but i had 2 that had no volts..... strange... could be the cause of my issues....

ther is also a blacked out pin in there.....

so u should check 6 pins

thanks guyz would be a massive help in getting my car back grrrrrrr

cheers Grant-

afm

ignition on not running

green wire 0v
pink 4.v
white black 5.0v
red 12v
black 0v
red black 2v
blue 7.4v

The way to check an afm is to acces the hot wire inside the unit so you can heat the wire gently with a hair dryer find the wire that shows a voltage increase decrease as heat is applied withdrawn if you get these results afm functioning correctly.

By reading your posts I suspect the fuel pump possibly may be running out of flow at higher revs. Two ways to check this with a wide band o2 sensor or by using a fuel flow gauge while you are driving.
Hope this helps

hmmm u could be right.... ill have another datalog tonight.... but as far as i could see on my laptop i was getting no knock.....

but then again with a chipped ecu it could have just bipassed the knock sensor so it never detects knock

interesting
