Hey everyone,
I need to put a TD05 16G Turbo on my 4G93T motor, beacause the previous one has gone to turbo heaven.
What is the most efficient way of mounting it? (dont realy mind about the cost) Stock position, same as the 4G93T or high-mount? (Any1 have any pics i can look at?)
If so where should i get the manifold from?
If it is high-mounted, what should i do to the dump pipe and the intercooler piping?
Should i replace both or can they be modified?

Thanks for ur help

stock position..
and as the post below you says you can use the gsr one, just enlarge the outlet..

was only toying around but im confident that the j-pipe from the gizzer fits on to the td-05... to the i/c plumbing will not really be effected

with the dump pipe, for some stupid reason mitsi decided to rotoate the flange 90 degrees... eg. you will have to re-weld the end of your zorst that bolts up to the dump and the conversion is pretty easy!

just be sure that you have a grinder handy to make a little oil filter and possibly a/c unit clearance...

why use the standard manifold, not only it it god dam ugly its a pain 2 put back on and i cant imagine how less effective it is compared 2 custom stainless steel manifold?

Using what???? What have the guys that have done this used?? Who has done it and how did you do it? all very well to say match port it but what is the quickest most efficient way?

use a die grinder peace that cuts steal, use the gasket to draw were you have to cut, it took me about 30 mins to match port it for a 14b

if you need a standed GSR maifold ive got one you can have for $100

I already have a spare manifold that I would port to the larger size when I get around to it, I was aware of the new gasket to mark it out trick! I just thought with all that metal to remove it will take ages to to do with a die grinder.
EVOISM - I would get a custom stainles steel manifold but that is money I don't have! Die grinder I do!

I used the white stone from the crappy $7 kit from supercheap  (actually not so crappy after all )

It cut through the metal like a hot knife through butter, and out cut the metal bit.
Actually the metal bit wore out really quick and the stone hardy wore out at all  !!(many people still dont believe me  )

I was porting out to match an Evo3 Big 16G.

You must have a big compressor or a lot of patience as I found the stone really quite useless on Alluminium when I was making the inlet hole bigger! But I will give it a go on cast iron.

2 lots of lunch times at work  Maybe 45mins all up. Mate that stone was glowing red when i was doing it!

I made the centre fillets sharp with the lead up to them smooth-ish.

Does that make sense

Oh yeah shop pressure was 110psi!
