I've just had my engine out of the c73a (4g61t) while it was out i did nothing internal, replaced all the gaskets without pulling head off etc, Timing belt kit and replaced waterpump. I installed a mikuni magna throttle body (65mm i think) and have had to rewire the tps, i'm nearly positive that is correct.

I got the engine back in the other day and it's almost running like it is in 'limp home mode' I have a haltech e6k ecu and the only things i can think of is that either i have wired the tps wrong and it is not picking it up, or the tps has not been 0%'d and the ecu doesn't know what to do.

If i free rev, and hold it at say 4k after a few seconds the car will die off reduce revs to 2k and hunt from say 2k-2.3-4k and increase hunting speed if i open the throttle further but not increase revs.

When i drive the car, as soon as revs reach 2.3k ish all power drops off like ignition / fuel cut and i have to back off and change gear. I am going to try and get the haltech software on a pc and have a look for anything sus but untill then does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks
Chris.

That's really weird.. if my throttle isn't calibrated properly, it does nothing like that, it just won't drop into idle control mode.

Ah, are you running idle air control? Could be that you're always sending out a 0% signal, and it's trying to control your idle.

Problem sorted, TPS was wired backward, silly me. I guess i got confused since my tb is on a different angle. Anyway, car runs sweet after re-calibrating tps in the haltech software.

Put the car on the a/f meter tonight and on the 9psi from the actuator it was 10-1 the whole way through, me and my tuner got 17psi into it before it made its way to only 10.7-1 a/f so it was tuned very very safe when i bought it.

Full tune tomorrow i'll let you guys know how it goes.
