FS: (still has to come out of my car)

KAAZ 1.5 rear LSD (I was told it was a KAAZ will post up more photos to confirm)

To harsh for my liking, and I cant be bothered re arranging the plates to make it engage smoother, switched back to evo2-3 lsd

Still needs to be bed in (my 255 wide tyres hop around very tight corners)

Comes with matching CV cups with 22 spline tri-lobal bearings (these were a big pain in the ass to find) not separating so don't bother asking

$1k PICK UP ONLY! its got some weight to it...

Edit: should fit VR4/ZR4/Evo1-3/EVO4-9 RS diff/LGSR/RVR and anything that shares the same casing, some will require a different CV Tri-Lobal bearing and or a entirely different drive shaft..

just as a guide..to help you sell

I had one the guys on here send me a complete diff in the housing and aussie post took. i think it cost about 65.00 for postage but took quite a while to arrive so probably came over on a truck rather than plane.

Yeah its definitely a Kaaz by design 100%. Part number SBM2031 mechanical rear LSD for EVO I onwards.

Kaaz lists 2 different models. A 'Basic' and a 'Solid' model. The "Solid" type engages more harshly because it has many more plates and states that you must get rid of your viscous coupling when using it? Putting in a spool/welded centre diff isn't going to help on a road car. So yeah, you'll have to disengage some of the plates for road use as you've suggested.

BASIC MODEL (for front and centre diffs)
Kaaz limited slip differential (LSD) front limited slip differential for the Mitsubishi Evo 4,5 and 6 models. This 1.5 way basic type diff is recommended for gravel use. These LSD's feature a 12 plate design and react fast without fail, to provide much needed traction to the front wheels when cornering and accelerating. Kaaz differentials are designed to increase drivetrain response and reliability under harsh driving conditions.

SOLID MODEL (mechanical rear LSD's)
Kaaz limited slip differential (LSD) rear limited slip differential for the Mitsubishi Evo 3-10 models. This 1.5 way solid type diff is recommended for gravel and your viscous coupling must have been removed. These LSD's feature a 20 plate design and react fast without fail, to provide much needed traction to the front wheels when cornering and accelerating. Kaaz differentials are designed to increase drivetrain response and reliability under harsh driving conditions.

Oh I can guarantee its the solid model, turning right around an average sized round about in the wet and just drifted the entire turn...

Hell of alot of Fun with AWD, but I dont feel like breaking the front VC...

Cheers for the extra info guys! someones coming to have a look at it shortly... I'll see how pick up goes first before I offer postage...

bump for this.... I can box everything up if someone wants to set up their own shipping..

I'm unsure what the Viscous coupling has to do with the rear LSD ? The rear lsd is only controlling torque and differential wheel speed between LH and RH rear wheels . The viscous coupling in the gearbox is the "lsd " for torque split front and rear axles ?? maybe its Jinglish and what they are trying to say that the viscous lsd in the front or rear diff has to be removed ??? Any way , I reckon I can use it .. so PM sent

^^^ That's why I questioned the viscous coupling removal too. "Jinglish" instructions.... I like that lol

What do you mean by this Jay?
I'm looking for a rear LSD for the VR4.
I have a '4 bolt kit' somewhere (I think it's just a pair of shafts and an open diff) - could I install the 4 bolt parts on this?

And I'm confused, would I need to remove the viscous coupling in the gearbox or make any other modifications? Or not?

And.. is it still available? Lol
