Im just slowly sorting out minor stuff on the car and atm its the knock sensor.

I bought a new one (OEM Knock Sensor : Mitsubishi Eclipse 90-94) from extreme psi with the rebuild items. Ecmlink detects an error of the sensor malfunction, approx 2mins after starting the car. Im whether thinking the eclipse isnt the same as a vr4 sensor?

I've check the continuity on the wire is fine. Its shielded. If worse to comes I'll rewire it altogether if any splices.

If i'm not wrong, that sensor should be for the 2G DSM ie: evo, not the same one for the GVR4/1G DSM

I think I am wrong, actually. 2G DSM's are 95+ so that should be the right one.

Also, your first post is incredibly hard to decipher.

If you bought the knock sensor for a 1g it should be right sensor. Ecmlink is made for the Ozzie/us Ecu but not sure if the 808 is different.

Im running an 808 ecu and ecmlink.
From memory is just switched the one wire around you do from going from a duel board to single board.

Is it possible i should be running a differnt knock sensor that came with the ecu rather than the stock on (prefacelift j-spec running a dual board ecu stock)?

Does anyone know what wire? Is it the ecu pin or the wires from the sensor?

The sensor seems to detect knock while driving so it does still work but if its working correctly is the question.
