mechanical or eletrical oil psi gauge?

Im about to buy an oil psi gauge. wondering is it mechanical ie t-piece connection or the electrical wiring method? I have an electrical oil gauge out of a hsv 2003+ so im quite sketched. And which switch does it connect to? I know theres 2 switches just next to the head.

im wondering if i can connect oil psi gauge it to the 4G93 gsr motor oil switch? Firstly is the oil switch, mechanical or electrical? i havent checked either.
