Hey peeps,

I will be in Melbourne this weekend, so does anyone have any great suggestions as to where I should get out and about, pubs, clubs, nice places to kick back for a few ales, dinner and what not? Or even meet up for any of the above.

It has been mint the last few days... forecast looks gastly for the weekend tho like what evolutionary said!!

Where are you staying? Places like Cookie on Swanston St in the city are good for some great food and drinks. The rooftop bar upstairs is a good hang out, so is Section8 directly behind it in Tattersalls lane.

Brunswick St Fitzroy is a must to check out. Marios, Naked for Satan or the Vege Bar are food options (ranked most expensive to least in order). You've also got the Napier on Napier St Fitzroy that has some of the best pub food in Melbourne.

South side there's lots of options... depends on how long you're here for and where you're staying

Thanx Dre, I'll getting and amongst it, and will check out some of these places. Staying in the City, Spencer St and am only down for 3 nights, Sat, Sun and Mon.

As for the weather, meh... can't do much about it and am coming down regardless to pick up some parts, thought may aswell make a break out of it, and 2 days on the snow on way back, fingers crossed weather is ok for that.

That be my recommendation too, only cause of the weather. Every under one roof. And a stones through from where ya staying too.

Well. I did have a freaking awesome time in Melbourne. Cookie was a non event unless id booked a week prior. Did a pub crawl down the yara from the transport bar to the crown which was great! Done my ass at the crown, more so drink prices, weather was shit so meter went down st kilda way, hit the markets, Also had the bomb meal at Bar Humbug, pork belly was AMAZING! And then a very very interesting drive to Jindabyne over the mountains in snow and ice late arvo in a cj lancer wit no snow chains and a 162km u turn to get em or push on for the last 30km to thredbo, so i opted for later, as u do. Lol
