hey guys,
some of you know me some of you dont, i have had some peoples ask me to do a write up on my 4g63t conversion on my cyborg sedan so here i am.

ok what i am doing and why:
probably 3 to 4 years ago now my gsr hatch was getting a bit crazy for street use and not so practical anymore, and along came a cyborg sedan awd at the right price, i swore to my friends and family it was my daily driver and not to be modded like my other car, well that last 1 year!! which is good for me. anyway its been slow but still progressive, started with a full suspension setup, kyb shocks and king springs (now i have kyb front, bilstein rear shocks with whiteline springs) anyway, i also did a brake upgrade to front evo twin piston brakes. along the way the engine got a 13g turbo and vr4 cooler with other small mods too.

now, the main project. its my daily so i dont want anything crazy, keep it looking stock, but have the fun factor and power to kill some big v8's!! so this is the plan. i have a rvr 4g63t i got a few years back super cheap. thee are pretty much evo engines anyway. the rest of the goodies are evo intake and 60mm throttle, stock head and block, rvr hyper sport turbo big 16g-7 split dump pipe and will have 3inch exhuast when finished. i also have a walbro pump and 560cc injectors. i am using the evo intake pipe and maf with a k and n filter. a stock evo 3 intercooler and piping to help keep it stock looking also. i have fitted new belts and water pump and all, along with the 4g61 engine mount on the passenger side modded to fit the engine. along with this i will be using a vr4 gearbox (3.545 ratio) i have also built a custom rear mech LSD for the cyborg, and have just changed to now be using an OS giken twin plate clutch. oh will also be running it all off the cyborg ecu with a greddy emanage piggy back.

so thats the plans anyway guys, get the engine and box in, fab a front engine mount as being evo engine doesnt have a front engine mount so custom job, the rest, fingers crossed will bolt on and i am hoping not to have many other hurdles but im sure i will.

my aim is to still have a daily driver that starts and runs like a standard car, that has the performance of an early evo, the thing handles decent already and has the brakes of the evo. and hopefully strong enough to take some punishment as i am aiming for 180kw to 200kw at all four mark.

let me know what you think guys.
cheers simon.

the 4g63 is now bolted into the engine bay... FINALLY! now to make that front engine mount...

so Simon... whatever happened to that daily car you wouldn't modify??

sorry guys havent had anytime to update beenm working to hard. will sort some pics and get them up somehow.
all is in and engine was started last night!!! didnt run it for long, but its runs, more work tonight and fingers crossed we might even take it for a blockie!!

ok guys, very quick update, cars running, did a very quick tune to get the thing running enough to get it up to get the exhuast done. first impressions are very good, clutch is hard but still easy to drive (os giken), seems to spool decently even though i didnt put my foot down hard, got a turbo light below 3 grand so cant be to bad. now just a wait to get it back sometime next week now.
cheers simon.

ill get there dre, "timmeh" is a bit better and computer stuff than me, once its back from getting the exhaust done, and all cleaned up ill take some finals and get him to post them up and some from the build too. i am selling some stuff at the moment to get enough cash to get her tuned also so fingers crossed that wont take long and ill have a dno sheet to post too.
cheers simon.

You dont even like Mitsu's (quick everyone get him!) Your a Subi lover. I'm Mitsu through and through.

hahah good point jonson, he does drive a subi, but he wont admit it but im sure he knows mitsi's dominate in the end!! he is getting a little scared about this one. he did do half the work on it to, so if anything breaks i can blame the subi man!!

are you sure i bolted on your gearbox properly... and the transfer case?:D:D

seriously after all the pain this car has caused me... skinned knuckles, dirt in my eye etc do you really think i want it to break?? ok only if its faster than mine i do... hahahah

hurry up and finish it off so we can get stuck into the hatch and we can take it out to lala:cool:

Looking good guys love update pic's,
when does this thing get tuned?? cant wait to see what numbers you get out of the new improved daily man.

timmy had a small accident with the old bar, only small one. little bit of fibre glass will fix, we just borrowed a bar from my work for it while its getting fixed.

thanks guys, i know it doesnt look like much, but seriously thats the whole point!! i mean if you saw an old gsr kitted granny stylelancer would you think it might chomp you? i dont think so.
anyway
i got it back from getting the exhuast done, its a sweet system, very quite which is good, bit of noise but not enough to attrach attenion which is what i wanted. drives much better too.
i have just bought some coil overs for it so i can sort out the suspension to make it sit right and at a decent height also.
after that, just have to install the boost controller (greddy e-01) and walbro pump. then fingers crossed i can find enough cash to get it tuned!!

Also Tim, what happend to your front bar?
i like the blue! lol just kidding, the front corner of the lip had a mis-understanding with some bitumen. this is the second time I've done it and I'm starting to think it is hanging too low after driving around with the stock one back on for a fortnight.

Simon, you better be booking me to help you with the car soon! Leigh wants me to get stuck into the back yard ASAP!
