Just a heads up to anyone that gets their myspace hacked :S

There was some code editing in my profile, which basically put a clear banner over the links at the top like 'home' etc, which redirected somewhere that didnt work. I only found one forum that posted this on the 7/4, but I closed the site and cannot remember/find it again. Seems to be a new one.

I redid my profile and hours later it was there again, wtg. I think it came from a 'friend requests' so Ive removed that and ill see how we go again.

You can't direct-link into an account.

That's like direct linking into a hotmail account.

on the myspace thing, basically when you've been prompted to "sign in" ( presumably when you think you're already logged in) you're actually just giving your details to a third party ( spyware ), then it redirects you to your home page, thus thinking that you've just logged in.

SO BEWARE.. WHEN LOGGING IN MAKE SURE THE URL IS

"WWW.MYSPACE.COM"

NOT HTTP://LOGIN.MYSPACE.COM

Thats right as said above ^ Also make sure when you log in to those secured websites, look at the top of the url bar for the gold padlock, that padlock protects you from logging in phishing websites.

Get a better firewall and phishing filter, because it looks like its failed you, because normally it would show up a big warning on your computer.

nah its not spyware from my pc, already checked last night plus deleted temp files etc.... and no i dont go to login-myspace.. just myspace.com

im not that silly with pc's boys
i proberly should use windows explorer though...

I have just got into the myspace thing ... Yeah, a little late I know ... But have had friends through friendster and all that, and I had set up the myspace thing a while ago, but never really did anything with it ...

But I now have the myspace bug... Adding stuff too it, playing around with the coding, using templates and all that stuff ...
