i need your honest opinion. one of my friends is talking shit about my car.. he's asking me for a race. he drives a 2005 honda civic 1.6 some air filter upgrades, exhaust(header i think). i own a 1g eclipse gs 4g63na dohc. all stock. will i get owned by the civic? do i have any chance of winning the race? i forget to tell that we both have a/t trans.

Don't underestimate those little Hondas... If it is built b16, it could have some poke. Plus very light weight... But being stock auto isn't going to either of you. Only one way to find out... On the track of course..

i never raced. i just wanna know if a 1g eclipse NA dohc can match up with a 2005 honda civic 1.6

i just need some straight answers or ill be racing him and losing some cash.

Add a 1000hp shot of nitrous to your setup and you'll be guranteed to win. Just watch "Fast n Furious" a few times first so that you can work out exactly at what point in the race you need to push the nitrous button. Hit it too early and you'll run out of nos before the end of the race and he'll catch you at the end, hit it too late and he'll already be winning and no amount of nos will get you over the line first.... you need to time it juuuuust right :thumbsup: .

2005 civic 1.6 has around 80kw (flywheel) stock and weight 1100kg, a few litle upgrades wont get it quick enough to beat a 104kw (flywheel) 2ltr at 1250kg

Civic may get you at the start but u should get it on the top end :thumbsup:

if i were to upgrade my engine with a 4g63t.. from what car should i get the best 4g63t engine? are there types of 4g63t engines? thanks. im a complete newbie. ive been driving my car sing 2004. bet never knew that i have good car. lol. thanks for the help guys.
