So, it's all running !
Water pump, Timing belt A and B, and CAS changed.
BUT.
Now the water pump bearings aren't yelling to die, I can hear the lifters, and they are loud as anything.
Could this be because it's been sitting here for 2 weeks, and completely untouched, and it's about 5 degrees outside ?
I've only run it for about 10 seconds, heard the lifters and shut it off. Should i try and let it warm up and see if the noise quietens down, or should i recheck the timing on the on the oil pump through the hole on the rhs ? We did the check where you line it up and see which way the pump falls, and according to one of the the pages we found that was a step by step thing, it said to get the pump to drop counterclockwise, which it does.
it definitelty sounds up top though, and all the timing is spot on. It doesn't miss, and idled by itself.
Thanks so much guys,
Pete.
