The AMG had a CD player (1989) and the aerial on the rear glass.

thats awsome, it would have been a 1 speed laser, I remember getting our first CD player in the house around that time. we had like 2 cds and would show off to friends and other family

not a VR4 but
my 1990 Jag has heated seats, electric seats, engine bay lamps, self leveling suspension, digital trip computer its not a bad bus for its age

Which one is lighter?

A mate of mine got some manual mirrors for his Evo2 racecar and discovered they were actually heavier than the stock electric ones!

On a balance the manual one was heavier - wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes.

Only marginally though.

Your build date comes up as 1988 Craig Either Sept 2nd or Feb 9th lol Can't work the exact date out!

I had a VR4 with a factory rear air purifier built in to the rear speaker shelf. Had a switch instead of one of the coin holders behind the gearstick. Never seen another one of those!!

Was it like an air ioniser or something?
Couldn't imagine them installing a true air purifying system in a car lol??
Nevertheless, that is a really cool option!

Yeah might have been an air ioniser, not sure. I ended up using the switch to control my turbosmart two stage boost controller
