Hey peeps. My oil return line to sump is leaking. It seams to be seeping out the bottom. I've tried lock tight a new gasket, tape around bolts so oil won't come through holes (heard that's common) but still no luck. Fml. Anyone else got a handy fix

Dunno about bunnings- they are fuckwits there; so I doubt it....AutoOne...Bursons...Autobarn... etc etc should have it or be able to get it.

Ill try autobarn, then genuine washers and gasket. Then finally if bo luck...weld the ******!

Sickaflex?is that oil/heat resistant enough

Do it properly.

Oem gasket.
Oem bolt washers (like Dougmo mentioned).

Make sure both surface are dead flat.
Make sure flange bolt holes are not too big either as the washer seals need to surround the hole.

Order the bits and you will make sense of it all..

You could get yourself a pair of dowty seal washers from your nearest specialist shop or from Earls etc to tie you over.
Also check to make sure your oil return pipe isnt split. You might have to take it off and pressurise it with some air to see if it leaks.
I like Jack's idea of welding a -AN fitting to the f*cker and using a flexible hose instead. Those sump bolts have always been a PITA of things to align up right and if you tighten too hard they can thread.
A -AN fitting is a quick and easy way to remove and reinstall too when you change turbos or perform general maintenance :)

This is the Mitsu part that George mentioned above: http://www.streettunedmotorsports.com/parts/oem_evo_oil_return_line_oil_pan_bolt_gasket_kit.htm

You need to use the specified bolt also otherwise it will damage the oring when torquing up.

The specified bolt has a groove that seals with the washer.

Shayne there isnt those washers on early 4g63's. It was just a specific bolt with split washer and the gasket :)
