OVR4ME: Pettet strikes again

It was about time!

First time I had been pulled over in a year and a half. Was cruising down lygon st to my favoutie thai restaurant when I noticed a silver XR8 weaving in and out of traffic behind me. I knew who it was, and as soon as I put my indicator on to pull over, the blue and red lights started flashing.

I hopped out expecting them to start strip searching me and the 3 girls I was with (im tattooed), but they were sweet, just asked me for my license and to pop the bonnet.....

I looked at the name tag on the older officer and it read: [ADAM PETTET].

I thought I was up shit creek, because I knew he had farked some of you guys over in the past, but to tell you the truth, these cops were totally sweet.

I pulled the bonnet and they were both instantly like "holy shit" :shock: haha. He asked me what he was going to defect me for, and I told him everything. I also told him that I was planning to return this car back to stock, and use all the good bits on a race/rally only car, which I had just imported- which is kinda true.

He was pleased with my attitude and demeaner, and let me off without a canary or fine, and just told me to expect a letter from the EPA in the post.

Pretty lucky huh, and you guys said this guy was a carnt?

Yeah, Pettet and the other rookie were chatting to me for ages sharing stories etc. Pettet was trying to explain that this car would haul some serious ass, but my emmissions would be "up the buggery".

He was genuinely intrested in what I had to say r.e: changing my mind about having a fast street car. I told him there was no point having a fast street car, you dont get to go fast in it, and told him how im ripping all this illegal stuff off, returning the VR' back to stock and saving all the illegal stuff for a ''track only'' mirage. lol.

This is what saved me from getting fined and canary'd!!!

Just an update on the situation, I still havent recieved any letter in the post, do you think he might have ripped it up and thrown it away? Surely I would have been sent something by now, its been 2 and a half weeks!!!!

Damn they seem pretty harsh down there. Up here they're only starting to catch on to modded cars, but seem more worried about loitering rather than emissions and the like.
