My car is almost ready for its paint job... And I was wondering if anyone knew of any decent, and reasonably priced spray painters in Vic? I'm not bothered by travelling for a decent paint job, and I don't really want to try out Eurocar and their $599 orange peel special jobs as I'm hoping for a Hot4s feature and Autosalon.

Awesome!

What car?

There is a guy on here. His nick name is KAOTIK. He has done some work for me and the work is fantastic! Excellent price too!

Jurrel is his real name. Give him a pm. If you want, I can call him for ya, just pm me your contact and I'll get him to give you a buzz.

Bazeng- I'll shoot you a PM as soon as I finish these rear quarter panels, should be this weekend as long as the weather holds up!

Its a CC coupe, converted into a Mitsubishi Eclipse (97-99)...
-Custom rear end modelled from mustang beaver panel with Eclipse tail lights.
-Full custom body kit, Blitz front and rear bar from an Eclipse before severe modification
-Custom bonnet, with hand made bonnet buldge to look like Eclipse (and to clear cam cover)
-Roof scoop
-4G63T from an Evo 3 locked to FWD
-17" Lenso s7 modify rims

How much should I expect to pay for a spray job?
Its been 5 years since this car had a spray job and at the time the panel beater looked after me on price cos of the custom body work and the leg work that I was doing looking for parts to complete the conversion!

When did you see it last? It looks terrible atm... it sat out the back for 2 years so some of the bodywork perished... and I've decided to finish the bodywork finally... so the front bar is mounted properly this time and the rest of the kit is 99% completed... just finalising the new rear quarters before I blend them into the rear bar...

rad support? as far as I knew it wasn't an issue. I had issues trying to get the front bar to sit right due to the intercooler piping.
I haven't been there for ages... but I drove past there last week and they had closed up shop! Which sucks cos I need a tune up and they knew what had been done to get that motor running in there... As far as I can tell a lot of shortcuts were taken!!

Cmon Rhys, still waitin on those updated pics :p
I'll take some pics this weekend... but I warn you its gone downhill a long way since you last saw it... Although you can now see the light at the end of the tunnel. I'll put together a build thread to warn ppl off a project this big!:p

Depends on what paint and how much of it you want painted. I brought my car to them as a shell on dolly wheels, full evo kit and the paint was the new PPG Yellow that has a 3 layer pearl through it, it wasnt cheep at $9200 but the finish is insane, worth having a talk to them

Yeah, I will! I only want a flat bright green, but I still want it to be like a mirror! Did they do much body work for that price or was that just for the paint?

Yeah they spent 90 hours on it but i had done most of the work, with the smoothing over of the engine bay and they finished up what ever imperfections i left cos at the end of the day its there name on the paint job so they had to make it perfect

Well thats what I'm after! I know my eye won't be as good as someone who does bodywork for a living... especially to a high standard. I'll be giving them a call ASAP!
