hey guys i got my exedy clutch put in yesterday (so sweet) anyways hit boost in second gear and almost broke my bloddy neck as it boosted to 27-29psi!!!!!! i was like WTF!!!! anyways when the mechanic put the $7 intake on LOL he pierced the waste gate line causing the turbo to run infinate boost. now in this time my car did not boost/fuel cut at all or ping it was running sooooo fast but couldnt see or hear evidence of running lean n stuff. any ways i wanna know why my 1990 jspec vr4 did not hit boost/fuel cut during this big psi experience:p. i have had the ecu re capped as they leaked n the car wouldnt start a while ago plz explain this dillema. thanks

i also had this sorta thing happen not to long ago.... but mine wasnt that good.... mine would alwayz hit cut at 15psi.... one night started boosting at around 22psi b4 the cut would kick in.... thought it was coz it was a cold night better air temp etc.... but then next day started up kept doing it.... im like wtf... then a few days after that it stopped doing it

dunno dude.... ghost in a shell

cheers

it shouuld hit boost cut quicker on cold days because cold air is denser

Whats done to your car? And is the solenoid still conected? With a near stock car mine hit 20+psi accidently. With a completely stock one it might get there
The boost cut is designed on airflow rather than boost level. So a stock VR4 with restrictive intake and exhaust will hit it higher than one with mods
