Make it light but be a pain in the ass for Db...

I was reading up on some porting stuff..its weird,general though is that more flow throught the head=more power,but this article i read said it wasnt neccesarilly the case,such an art!

Anyway,approach rpw for a custom headgasket if your comp is too high..theyd be able to custom something up...otherwise run a bottle of octane booster with every tank of 98RON..expensive though!

ahahah yer man, no choice to run 98+ all the time and i would have to relax on the timing on this engine or its goin to ping off its nuts!... atm my engine in the car is at advance 20deg and its allowing my power band to finish just before redline which i love to hear the screaming lol!....

oh using a stock head gasket.... if it can hold the boost for a turbo it will hold my comp..... i hope.....

I had my GSR at about 13 or 14 degrees...That was a jap motor,wasnt really game to go much higher,my mates could only take about 10 and start to knock..old motor though....

i had an safc1 with the too..how do your plugs look at 20 Deg?
Go much better? as in can u notice it?

um i guess all my mods that i have built for the engine are letting me go 20deg, lets put it this way, the needle on the harmonic balancer is way off the scale when i use the timing light. it waste a lil more fuel and i can notice it but doesnt ping at all. power band cuts out just before redline but keeps on revving....

all i have attached to this engine is...
custom 4-2-1 extractors
tuned exhaust
Cyclone intake with working throttles
custom CAI
Jspec ECU
everything not needed on the engine is gone...

must have been a good mix.... engine HAULS a hell of alot harder then the stock engine....
 
ok its been in the making since May 2007 and its nerly finished and ready to rumble....

11:1 comp 4G63 n/a

extras:

the balance shafts are out

extended oil sump

lightened flywheel


hope to get this thing in soon, just have to re tap some bolt holes and a few minor things here and there...

its been a long wait.... not as long as others though......

ah huhz :D , theres heaps of sump upgrades for the old school V8's to keep them as cool as possible, so why not try it out with the 4cyl's....
 
why pay $4XX + shipping when you can just make it for free? yall know me by now lol :p

bought it off a friend, cause one part of it didnt fit, so it now fits lol.... its from the US but what looks like cut with a plasma cutter, where one serction was completely off...
 
i have looked at a couple but none will clear my crank.

one day i will get one made up/modified...

if all goes to plan ........ around next week ish..... still need to make up a Oil to water cooler with a front mount ratiator which shouldnt be hard when the engines in....

stayed tuned!....
