Hi FOlks,

I am in the middle of disscussion with Alan Mance motors and through them Ralliart Australia for a long term relationship with T4G/Vr4.org.

What we have discussed already is:
Support for Alan Mance promotions
Support for Tech nights
Support for Web page

To be discussed:
Support for Track Days
Support for Annual events
Anything else that may come to mind!

What is important to Alan Mance and Ralliart Australia is that we support the product and the brand by making sure we do not discuss ways of voiding warranty on the product. Seeing as most of our cars would probably be out of warranty I am sure this would not be an issue. I also think that most of us have the utmost respect for Ralliart and Mitsubishi otherwise we would not own a Mitsub or 4g motor.

The first event would be on the 6th or 7th of October at the opening of Alan Mance motors new showroom and the launch of the new Lancer where we will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the VR4 and then cruise to black spur followed by show and shine in which we would have some sponsorship for prizes and such. I have spoken to a rep of the Adelaide crew and he has said if it can be organised then there is interest from there. So lets get behind this and support 4g and vr4 grow.

So cmon folks lets get behind this and have your say poll and tell your mates if this is successful in Vic there is no reason why it can not spread through the mitsub network through Aust. This is a great opportunity for the good guys at 4g and vr4.org to get some positive support behind them and for us to benefit from that.

So poll and lets know what your thoughts are. This is could be a very positive outcome for all of us and lots of fun.

Cheers

As much as I'd like to see this happen, I don't think they are going to care about a bunch of VR4s...

If T4G had a larger collection of newer Evos, then they might be interested...

But I don't see them jumping at the opportunity to start (financially?) backing a club full of 20 year old Mitsubishis......

Although I dont live in vic, I thinks it sounds like a good idea.

However I do think you should of contacted Entaran or another Administrator first about this.

But shouldnt be a problem overall.

Shoot a PM to Entaran,Gsrsol or one of the other guys that usually help run cruises(jstyle, clutz,Baz etc...)

Good overall initiative  :)

i agre with tharaka, if there were alot of later model cars in the club there may be more interest from mits/ralliarts side.

for them to invest in such old cars i would not be a wise move on their behalf

Actually it's a much wiser move.

Most of us boys wiill be upgrading our cars in the next 5 years.

Most of us will probably look at other offerings from Mitsubishi.

If they sponsor the club, and get just ONE new car sale at their dealership from it, it's paid for itself plenty of times over.

I've spoken at length with Gooch about this and will be going to discuss it further with the dealership at sometime in the near future.

Get behind it. Support it. Worst that can happen? Current situation.

You do realize that t4g and galantvr4.org.au are two different clubs, and not affiliated in anyway ?
You will probably have more hope, trying to get sponsorship for only 1 club

I dont see why we'd need sponsorship- I mean, dont we already have sponsors who pay for the hosting of the club- and also things like the drag day helping to pay for it??

What we do need, is someone who is experienced in organising TRACK DAYS

The last attempt at organising a track day was a dismal failure due to lack of response from the forum community.

Apparently if it's not 400m long nobody is interested.

As for forum sponsorship?

This place costs over a grand a year to host alone, not including website changes (paid per hour), peoples personal time and other various bits and pieces. There aren't enough sponsors to pay that bill yet.

I'm more than happy to bring onboard more businesses.

When did someone from this forum try and organise a track day? Im fairly sure that if you want an event to happen, you have to do it, not try and do it.

Just because they're aren't tons of people from this forum interested, doesn't mean you cant fill the spots for the day, with other clubs perhaps??

I know the EVO OZ guys are the total opposite, if you mention the word 'drag' they don't want to know about it, but when it comes to track days, its a different story.

I can have a chat to Resat who has set up driver training days aswell as get EVO OZ members spots in other clubs track days, and ask him if he's interested in making something happen between EVO OZ and Team4G

Track days

Thanks for the feed back Dre,

From what I can gather at the moment most people are in favour of the support from Ralliart and Alan Mance.

Your idea is very valid and worth looking into.

Please vote on the poll so we can asscertain if this is an option that is supported by the majority.

Cheers and thanks again for your response.

Look guys, it's a step in the right direction in my opinion. We need to bring the Mitsubishi community closer together in order to survive as an individual. If it wasnt for online forums a lot of us wouldnt have our cars going at the moment, and probably would have sold them a long time ago and driving around 1.5 CE Lancer rice mobiles. If it wasnt for online forums we wouldnt have companies like Meek, CVAP and AJAI on speed dial to supply us what we want and when we need it. We've made plenty of friends along the way and seen a lot of dickheads come and go, but we're still around. The inclusion of Ralliart and Allan Mance would strengthen our ties within the Mitsu community in relation to events and parts supply and its not going to make us any worse off.
