What can you use to make the electric mirrors slide more smoothly. When i got my window regulator fixed, the young guy said to spray a bit of crc down the sides... ?? Tnxs.

Former: Loosen the screws Or remove them and fill the holes with wd40, wait 2 mins then screw it back together.

Latter, spray wd40 in behind the actual mirror glass.

I've done both.

First off, get someone with a newer battery and see if that speeds it up (preferably with a higher CCA rating).

Secondly, SPAM THE CRAP out of the window rails with wd40, then run the windows up and down a heap, then do it again.

If that doesn't work, you need to look either at the motors or the wiring to the motors or etc. It get's messy from there.

Yes Silcone Spray is the one to use on any rubber or plastic products as WD or CRC are oil based and will destroy rubbers over time

Wd40 will also invite every piece of dust and crap to take up residence in the runners!
Selleys Glide works well.

nah the best thing for windows is powdered ... mental blank... was thinking carbon fibre :lol: i mean powdered graphite works a treat

graphite powder is supposedly the best stuff to use

Yeah I use powdered graphite to stop guitar strings sticking in the nut (metal vs bone). Works better than anything else.
