Hi guys
I'm looking into getting some carpet for the GSR, there is a company called Knox AutoCarpets that do carpet for the CC lancer sedan, but they emailed me saying they were not sure if carpet for a 2WD would go into an AWD because the tunnel may be different. I was under the impression that the floor plans were exactly the same? I'm unsure whether I should buy it now. Does anyone know for sure that the floor plans are the same/different?

FWD and AWD CC Lancers have the same floor pan, i can confirm that

Im just not too sure if a coupe carpet will fit sedan :(

Curious as to what you paid for this as I have got my seats and harf the dash out and am considering changing mine?

What sort of carpet do they do?? All I've been able to find is some crappy old school looking loop pile carpet which would make the interior look like its out of the 70's

They sell two different types, the poly loop pile (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/MOULDED-CARPET-FOR-MITSUBISHI-LANCER-CA-CB-CC-CE/111095839484?rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222002%26algo%3DSIC.FIT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D261%26meid%3D8531704027212792781%26pid%3D100005%26prg%3D1088%26rk%3D4%26sd%3D111095842191%26)

and the Plush pile (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/111095842191?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649)

I got the plush pile for $194 inc $25 postage, it's been shipped, just waiting for it now :)

It's finally in, needed the holes for seats/handbrake etc. cutting, but it was a relatively uncomplicated drop in, it comes in two seperate pieces, the front overlaps the back at the front seat's mounting bar, but because it's quite thick we ended up cutting it right back so the overlap was minimal. I'd say its the best $170 I've spent on the car so far, and coupled with the recaro's out of a gti satria, it's taken years off the it. The actual quality of the carpet is quite good, it is thicker and much better then the original trampled hessian bag that was in there. It's a bit of mucking around lining it up and making sure it all fits into the corners correctly, but the mould was pretty good (has moulds for the floor air con and handbrake cables etc) and it sits nicely on top of some of that recycled mat sound deadening stuff. If you are buying this carpet, I'd definitely go for the Plush pile, I see no reason for the poly loop pile, for the extra few bucks you mays well get the nicer carpet, that's my 2c anyway :)
I'll put some photos up tomorrow

I ordered the same carpet from knox and it looks abit different to the ones in your pic, the carpet i got was pretty stiff and its hard to module it.

Yeh I used a heat gun to warm the base, it can be a bit tricky, make sure you use some carpet glue. Did you buy the loop or plush pile? I got the plush pile one
