replacing a-spec ecu with j-spec

4GTuner

Help Support 4GTuner:

i had that abs problem when i plugged the jspec RS computer out of my front cut into my aus spec vr4. my abs light stayed on, and the abs unit in the engine bay made a constant whirring sound. so i put the aus spec one back in. how much would it cost to get the chip in my jspec one put in my aus spec one? as im running the evo 0 engine (using aus spec manifold)

If i am going from a dual layer jap board to a single layer jap board, going by VR-4-PLAY's diagram i just need to switch 6&14 right?

Is it possible pull the wire with the brass connector attached out of the yellow plug and switch them over or are people just cutting and soldering them?

correct

as for the wires, it would be easier to just cut and solder

I doubt RS's had ABS

ABS + Dirt =     (i.e. VERY BAD - been there, done that  )

I never changed these two wires over (Dual JDM to Single JDM) I do occasionally have idle issues but :? (ISC maybe) Im led to believe if the wires are wrong, it simply wont idle :?:

so
why are you putting an aus spec ecu in?

I need pin 15 free (no EGR temp probe) The hope is the ASpec ECU will allow this to happen, even with a JDM EPROM
Also the DSMLink doesnt work with JSpecs, well the cyclone bit at least :(
