Reverse light activation

Where is the sensor for this in a CB GSR? is it on the shifter assembly?

i cant get the reverse lights to work, is there anything else i should check?

i should mention i have seen them breifly flicker on and off again ONLY ONCE when the car was being backed out of a workshop today, and i assume it would have happened when reverse gear was being slected. I couldnt get it to come on again at all when I tried...... :?

i know on the vr4 its on the gearbox... there's a black plastic plug on it.

if you're standing in front of the car looking at it, it's on the left side of the box

yep, thats it. it has probably come off or is dirty.

I wonder if a sensor off a TN magna would work??

that was going to be my next question - what sensors can i use if i need to replace it, and where can i get them from ?

its just the plug on the sensor though, not the whole thing I think :?
