Revs stop for a split second

hey does anybodys lancer stop for split second..its only happend since ive dropped the boost down for my L plates..when its on boost at about 4-5 rpm it will stop for a quick second..only happens in 3rd and 4th gear? any ideas would be helpfun just gettin bit worried

Open your exhaust up. The backpressure is causing issues... or at least this happens with vr4's.

I have this issue with my GSR sometimes, no idea what causes it, i have a 3inch exhaust to a 5inch muffler, so maybe not the exhaust?

for some reason im thinking its the boost controller.ever since me and a mate installed its been running funny.think i might have to get it checked out properly incase it detonates :?

it could be because the boost setting has been changed and the ecu doesnt reconise it..well thats what me mate thinks anyway

I think my issue is differant to yours, yours seems to be ECU related, but i have an Autronic.

I had the same thing after my car had been driving for a while, a VERY slight miss at 5000rpm, while on full boost. I was also running an Autronic ECU.

I had the impresison it was ignition related, start there and if your still having iussues, take it back to your tuner or mechanic and get them to have a look at it closer

My stock GSR does this at about 5000rpm in 2nd, its like a slight miss and then it picks back up instantly.

Only really does it in second though.

I was thinking it could be the spark plugs as they are probably getting close to 10 000km, and hence need replacement at the next service. I vaugly remember this happening before I replaced them last time and new plugs fixed the problem...
