Rim width/offset

Hey guys, i've got my eyes on some rims atm. Just wondering if i'm pushin the limits of safe width and offset if i were to run them on my HSG.

They're 17x9 +24. They're currently on a 32 GTR and judging from the pics, they sit about flush on that.

How do you think they'd sit on mine...safe to do so at all?

You will need to have the hub machined out to match our cars!

Edit: Fitment will be fine, we're plus +38 offset... so +24 will be a good pump, just give it some stretch

+38? +35 and mine was rubbing on stuff it shouldnt, +30 is spot on for me with 9.5" wide rims but +28 and your laughing

You'll be showin' a bit of leg outside your guards So you won't be lowering the car much at all.
My track is 1540 & 1495. Yours will be more than that with only +24 offset. You need 245x45x17 tyres.

Thanks for the feedback guys, i did want to avoid rims that i'd have 2 machine to fit over the hub but they are awesome and i can't resist
So regarding fitment, the general concensis is that they world fit, but it'll be mexican style (which i like) and i won't have alot of room to lower in the future?
Btw, they come with 255 tyres....

chuck some 235s on them and you will be able to lower

205s on my 7.5s is already enough stretch, u'd have to flatten the tyre completely :lol:

215s on my front 8.5s is streched to the max Matt. As Dan said, a 205 on a 9 is flatttt.

Rockabilly, i've also got my eyes on a staggered set. 18x9 and 10... offset is less agressive at around the +30ish, or maybe a tad lower, maybe 28 (the dude is not sure exactly)
What do you think?? Tyre width opinion?

This combo is a match for your speedo, but needs say 3psi less rear tyre presure. 42 front & 39 rears.
Your rear shocks dust covers will have to be cut off & your trailing arms need a bash or run spacers.

Hrrrrmmm. Ok thanks mate, so there is a bit of mucking around but it can be done. So you recommend 225's on the front 9" and 255 on the rear 10"?
What about the sliding door, no interference with the 10"?

You can use 235x40x18 front & rear & they will stretch onto the 10s if you want the same tyre each end = 15mm undersize
Ask dj_konix if his 245 fronts clear on full lock after he lowers his car. He will say yes or no for that size.
You might need spacers to clear the rear trailing arms. I made mine clear the arms by 4mm with no spacers.
My door clears by 15mm with my 245s on 9.5s.

Thanks guys, your advice has been great. I missed ouit on the staggered set but probably for the best as i cbf mucking around trying to machine them, then modify things to fit them etc etc.
Blah, i think i'm going to settle on a set of 18x8.5's that i've come acros at Jax quickfit, new, decent price, fitted, drive away....can't go wrong
Just need to find some good springs to lower it a bit and i'm done...no more $$ on the RVR for a while haha.
