anyone had dealings with Slow Boy Racing in the past, i emailed them last wednesday about some parts and they still haven't got back to me, i emailed them again yesterday to see what was happening, i'm not gonna buy parts from someone if they don't want to communicate with me before hand

ive had the same problem. On many occasions. As soon as you mention the word Australia I think they just ignore it..... :(

needless to say, i waited over a fortnight for a reply which simply read = "no"

I've been in contact with them a few times and it's true, their customer service sucks and their emails can be blunt and damn right rude. They have the products but I think they dont like dealing with overseas enquiries as they probably get pounded by a bunch of 14 year old MLGA forum members who dream but dont follow through  I ended up buying my parts elsewhere purely for the fact that they didnt deserve my business. You'll find other guys have had no problems at all so it might depend on who's on the other end of the service desk.

I sent them an email when I was first lookin for parts (Late December). I'm not kidding you, I received a reply 4 days ago!
Needless to say they lost out on my business. None of the US guys use Slowboy.
Hopeless customer service, They alwasys send out the wrong thing. Take ages on shipping. And very difficult to deal with if your trying to return the wrong part they sent you....

He pretty much sums it up there! Slow boy are terrible and their shipping price is ridiculous

i just got an email back from them, basically works out cheaper until they throw in a shipping charge of wait for it $165 usd for about 2kg max of parts, not even big parts tensioner and bearings and a thermostat so it works out cheaper to go through mitsubishi/supercheap

yeh they have quite a bad rep in the US but because they have the parts they get the sales, especialy being mail order, they are rude obnoxious unhelpful and definately live up to their name of slow but their sales are through the roof so they dont give a f**k cause the money keeps coming in.

i guess you could only survive like that in the US,try that here or in OZ and you wont survive, they definately only care about the money, ive read so many horror storeys about them.

same thing, i want $20USD worth of flanges off them, but shipping was going to cost $84USD

i think thats B/S... extremepsi is so much better to deal with.

Why the hell were you going to order a thermostat of them? You work at supercheap don't you? As for tensioner and bearings ebay is your friend.

thermostat from supercheap $70-$90 for a tridon brand i cross referenced it to STANT brand and it ended up being about $25, from slow boy $20usd

for a thermostat!
What discount do you get working at supercheap?
I don't realise how much trade prices save me all the time!

it was just because of the brand, mitsubishi wanted about the same for it, but i went with the cheaper high flow stant thermostat, i get a fairly decent discount workin there

Are you talking about the thermostat itself or the entire housing?

just the thermostat, i think it came with a gasket, i will see when this other one arrives if it is actually the right one
