Just in case any of you decide to make the journey over to the apple isle be sure to pack as many of you friends mobile phone numbers that have Mitsubishi parts laying around as possible! I just spent 2 weeks over there and had all kinds of trouble! We arrived on Sunday, car started making clicking noise from the front CV joint on the Tuesday. So on thursday I crawled the car down to Hobart to the RACV approved repairer which just so happens to be a Mitsubshi Ralliart dealer. At this stage I?m thinking cool car will be goin by the arvo??unlikely. They diagnose the problem as the tailshaft, against my better judgement of believing the diagnosis I ring Jstyle and he sends me over a rebuilt shaft has had layin around. So the shaft arrives Monday but wont be delivered til Tuesday so I went to pick it up from toll and save myself some time. I dropped the shaft off at the dealer at 3 in the afternoon. Knowing that I was on holidays and the fact that replacing a tailshaft is not a big job I stupidly thought that I might get my car back that afternoon! I rang at 5.45 (they close at 6) wanting to know whats goin on, apparently the accounts cleck had gone home so although the car was ready they couldn?t give me a bill so the car could not be released. Ok so by this time I?m pretty bloody annoyed, Tuesday morning comes around and I get a phone call at 7.45 ??..the boys are gonna have another little play with the car, will ring you when its ready??. Knowing that checkout of the hotel was at 10 I went down to the dealership wanting to know what goin on, and as I arrive I see that my car is sitting in the ?awaiting collection? area. Then we walked inside asking where my bloody phone call was to say ?come pick it up? all I got was ? I was just about to ring you?. Half an hour later I finally get a friggin bill out of them for $89.40 and him telling me that?s cheap cause his boys spent 4 hours on it!!
Thinking it?s all good I drive the hire car back to the hotel followed by the miss?s in the GSR and as soon as we get there she jumps out of the car and with a questionable look she says ???you might wanna take it for a drive?..? the drive I made was straight back to the dealership as the car was NO BETTER than when I dropped it off! So it?s fair to say that I didn?t mind the half hour I took tearing shreads off these pricks because nothing was said to us about it now being fixed when we picked up the car! Moral of the story: DJ Motors in Hobart should be kept well clear of! I won?t be goin back anytime soon!
