EDIT: Oh something else I discovered after the fact of the weigh-in. I forgot to look in the boot!!! I had a toolbox and a box full of documents and parts in it, plus left the MDF false boot floor in place!!! :blink: That's gotta account for about 20kg extra weight for sure :lol:

Wanna know how much an AWD coupe weighs? Factor in aircon, all power options, mdf rear boot floor, optima battery, front and rear strut braces, big intercooler and piping, h/duty swaybars, coil over suspension, steampipe manifold, aftermarket 17" wheels + other bits and pieces.... oh but no stereo :lol:

Stock Comparisons:
CC GL 1.5 Carby Lancer coupe (bare bones model no power options) = 870kg
CC GLXi 1.8 EFI Lancer coupe (some power options) = 980kg
GSR 1.8 4G93T (all power options) = 1190kg
EVO I-III 4G63T RS (no power options) = 1190kg
EVO I-III 4G63T GSR (all power options) = 1245kg
CC AWD coupe 4G63T (all power options and modifications + half a tank of juice) = 1240kg

Makes you think a little more about how much your modded GSR or EVO really weighs doesnt it? :lol:

Car is complete bar the roof lining and weighed in at 1183 Kg with 1/4 tank of fuel.

Weight distribution was

64% Front
36% Rear

Velo Seats instead of factory.

It's worth checking out Shayne for the comparison. I'd say yours is more around the 1120-1150kg mark at the moment. With the cage it will pip the 1200kg mark.

GSR's 1190kg is Japanese DRY weight. IE no fluids.

I found an old post of mine from 2006 that says:

I weighed mine this arvo (CC gsr that is) without me in the car 1240kg with 3/4 tank of fuel

I weigh 80kg so make it 1320kg with me in it!

The weigh bridge is an Army one 50m from my carpark.
I will need to fill the car up full and drive it down to 3/4 again and see how I go:thumbsup: There has been a LOT of mods since then (with no weight saving at all) so it will be interesting to see what 3 years does!

Didnt know 1190kg was a GSR's dry weight? Do you know where that info can be found?

If you add the weight of fluids in the fuel tank, oils, radiator, brakes and clutch and washer bottle then there's about 67kg if you convert litres to kg for fluids.

Fuel Tank = 50 litres
Radiator = 5 litres
Radiator overflow = 650ml
AWD diff = 800ml
AWD box = 2.2 litres
AWD transfer case = 800ml
Power steering = 900ml
Engine oil = 3.5 litres
Oil filter = 400ml
Brake & Clutch fluids = 250ml approx. (guess)
Wiper washer bottle = 2 litres approx. (guess)

It's 1190kg Aus delivered with a full tank of fuel.
It's in the owner's handbook.

i spoke to the guys at bond last week and they told me a 4 point cage is only about 12kg, they are pretty light considering...
