I want to drop the car a bit, don't want headaches/hassles of coilovers.

From what I can gather I have an option of Tein Stech, which 'apparantly' sag after a while, Eibach Pro Kit which seems pretty good, Megan Racing haven't heard anything or just go custom springs.

I want a drop of about 1.25 to 2" so I can run 18's soon with no scrubbing and no lip scrubbage over bumps.
What have other people run or is it the usual coilover upgrade for everyone?

jon... on evos if u go too low u ruin the suspension geometry of the car... for springs that is about 30cm... so just about 1-1.25".

for springs i would recomend TMR ones... they are a little on the exe side.... but are very good, progressive springs.

the eibach pro are slightly lower 0.5cm... but are lot softer so if u ever take them to a track it wont be fun.

i would recomend progressive springs. as they give u best of both worlds, soft on the road but get harder the more u compress them through a corner.

Oh yeah for sure. Deinietly want to stay progressive. I don't want to go heaps low, just get rid of the akward height it's at now. I'll get Camber tops so I'm not chewing out tyres, plus I keep keep the caster/camber/SAI to about factory specs.
Do you know the rates of the TMR's?

hmm i dont know... something like 450-550... the fronts are diff from the rear... the eibacs are 2.9kgs which are softer than standard.... but the TMR are tripple them eibachs. sorry got them more than a year ago and forgot the specs. but love them.

sorry to jump in on some one elses thread but just thought i would ask a similar question instead of starting a new one. I also have a E7 and just put 18s on it and need to come down a bit just thought i would ask for some opinions on kingsprings or even pedders springs?
Any help or advice would be great as my budget isnt huge

I ended up just using Kings. Suprisingly happy with them actually. Not much firmer than factory so fine for daily driving.

TMR Springs are made by King springs you just pay more for the TMR mark up and the RED paint.(Fact)

Having used coilovers for 4 + years I good set of lowering springs will alleviate all the knocking and groaning sounds common with coilovers, I love the OEM shocks on the CT9A's also looking for a set of lowering spring for the factory shocks.

Jonson I just remembered Hai has a set of CT9A Teins Control Master Flex coil-overs including the EDFC KIT also for 800 > http://www.4g63evolution.net/viewtopic.php?f=56&t=811

shit thats cheap. checking them out. I'm still tossing up whether to sell it or not, so a bit hesistant to spend money on it apart from servicing and shiz.
