hey guys, recently put focal vslims in the door to avoid cutting into the grill and getting spacers etc..

they are very good and clear speakers but does anybody know of any other speakers that have the slim fit design that are of high quality as well..?

Polk Audio DB651s
They are similar profile, but they are not as good as the focals...

you don't get as good bass response ou tof those slims tho.. smaller magnet, basket & suround...

you got the 165s yeh?

Polk audio Sr6500's fit in easily and sound amazing, but pricey. (rrp$1399)

They have a Neodymium magnet, 1/8 of the size of most common 6 1/2" in drivers. and no clearence issues with the door card.

yeah i have the 165's. no good compared to there non slim versions..

might look into the polk audio ones.
