I wonder if FORD or HOLDEN will pull out of supercars!

The WRC has changed for the 2010 series to be Super 2000 regulations. The WRC cars will be allowed a Turbo to increase the power by 50 Hp.

Subaru was always pulling out at the end of 2009 as this was not appropriate as they have boxer engines.

Will be interesting to see or what Prodrive enter next year and if they maintain the drivers. I am guessing David Richards had no idea as he has been trying to secure Marcus Gronholm.

Suzuki pulled out of the WRC this week aswell. Leaves it to Ford and Citroen competing at the top level. I expect we'll still see plenty of Subarus in the PWRC (Group N) though.

wrc budgets are way too large, no wonder teams are pulling out.

drop it down to a reasonable level by making the cars conform closer to their production counterparts (means no $100,000 gearbox) and teams will come back.

Its too much about who has the most money, not the most skilled driver/innovative team.

Its a real shame for the rally scene boys. I'd hope WRC organisers are pushing the Panic button quicksmart or the championship wont mean a thing if theres only 2 makes of compeditors. pffft.... what do they want? Holden vs Ford? lol

It is a sad day, but as mentioned the S2000 rules will curb the budgets and thus prevent teams just baling out.

Got to say though, the Suzuki's are my favorite rally cars at the moment.
