Hey everyone, I need a little guidance on suspension upgrade options.
I'm currently running stock evo 3 springs, with KYB super street shocks. Basically what options are available for upgrade, and how low should I go for the best handling option. I'm not currently looking at coilovers as an option.

on that cvap website yous recommend i saw some apexi shocks with springs for $600, buts its only rear
might be worth spending $1000 and do it once over the right way and get coilovers otherwise just dont spend until you can afford it

is there a reason you're changing it?
Chris Meek was telling me before how good these KYB shocks are and how impressed he was with them. if theyre no good maybe coilovers are the way to go

I was about to say the same thing ...

KYB Super Streets are basically AGXs, ie they have the damper adjustability. If you want to go lower, just get yourself some good quality springs like whitelines, either sports low or super low.

Otherwise like the other guys have said, youre only upgrade is to go to a coilover :p

Its not the shocks that I wish to change, its the springs. Ths stock evo3 springs give it boat like characteristics when cornering. It needs to be stiffer.

If you're after reduced roll during cornering then you may need to get some stiffer anti-roll bars (swaybars whatever they call them). By doing this and keeping the softer springs you won't be compromising the advatange of mechanical grip with the softer spring. However, if you want to lower the car to reduce the centre of gravity which also helps with reduce chassis roll when cornering then that is a good option. Just don't get too stiff a spring rate as this will reduce the mechanical grip you will get. I guess it depends what you want.
If you're happy with the ride quality and ride height as it is at the moment and just want to get rid of body roll - a cheaper option would be the anti-roll bars from whiteline. You could try this first and then if you are still not happy the adjustable coilovers can help fine tune the rest of it.
Good luck :)
