na i though it was the head gasket to... but i comp tested it... i got 150 150 125 n 70... fucked the rings... yes the infor about the car r correct n i got everything checked by maztech... not sure what i wanna do... i'm pulling motor out this week... n my work is going to look into it... might strock it of 2L it... still getting prices worked out 17,000 car with fucked rings... just my luck!
 
well i am only on 2nd year mechanic n have only ripped out VR n VS commodore motors... but i am going to try with mine... i have 1 other mate helping me, n the guys from work r writing out a list on how to pull everything out correct.... so i will see how i go LOL...

Ok so let me get this right, you bought the car with forged pistons and rods, and you got maztech to open the engine up to check that it infact does have the internals that it was advertised with?

But you didnt get a leakdown or compression test before you bought the car?

You did buy this car already modified right?
 
yeah i was actually going to go have a look at that car as it was for sale the same time as the car that i bought.. it was rebuilt not to long before being on sale
 
That ad was sus for that car like CLuTZy said.
He was advertising a motor with forged pistons, but said nothing about the rods?!?!

Comes across as very interesting...
 
i called maztech about the performance in this car... i still dont get why its done the rings... i called maztech n they dont know why it had done it... i was meant to call em back today to find out what they can do to help me... prob nothing... DICKS

YES the fuel i used to get it tuned, i used on the day... i was only running it on 16psi... was not going over 7000RPM
 
sorry to hear about the loss.. something sus must be up?
im running argo rods on my 4G93 and have had no problems with it on 21psi..
