i would love to join... but i wanna know location or where we meeting up... i get my licence back on the 1st march n i havent even driven my new GSR :-( plus it will give me a chance to meet some of use... just need to know where? and When? Thanks

since we have only 8 or so numbers willing to race, i was thinking of organising something like this:

club battle...

open the event to all clubs
have teams of 5 and creat a knockout type tournament..

eg.
5 cars from t4g (team1)
5 cars from wrxclub (team1)

all 5 cars race (1 race per car... against that team)

team4g car1 vs wrxclub car1
team4g car2 vs wrxclub car2
team4g car3 vs wrxclub car3
team4g car4 vs wrxclub car4
team4g car5 vs wrxclub car5

for each race, record the win / loss.. the team that wins the most races out of the 5 gets the points

keep doing this with the other clubs until all clubs have raced each other.
tally the numbers, the two clubs with the most points move to the next round..

something along those lines.. incentive to race will be price money from sponsors or entry / as well as product discounts for the entire club (eg 10% off for the club)...

my friends are starting a business, and they are interested in being sponsors to promote the business..

i think it would be interesting, instead of just random races...

OR another idea (but unlikely)

race at calder park...
try to get the track and also the 1/4 mile

same concept, but instead have 2 out of the 5 cars racing on the track
and 3 on the strip

tally the points and so on...
this will prove which club has the best overall cars / racers..

opinions guys?
will this work?
would anybody be interested?

I don?t have a 4G yet but I will be there as support! If you guys don?t mind me turning up in a TX3.

im thinking only street cars.. (rego'd and driven on the street)
with street tyres...

we just got our first shipment of parts, so ill see when the boys want to do this...

yup

drag racing is sorta boring (u sorta know who will win)

i guess when u make it a team thing, it'll be more interesting, as the fastest cars wont always win

eg, you could say race your car at 80%, and when it counts, you run it at 100% therefor the other team would expect you to run a 13, so they select a car on their own team which runs high 12's.. where in fact the car can actually do low 12's...

ah just throwing around idea's...
too much Initial D.. lol

maybe the teams have to fit certain criteria's..
eg. each team must have 1 fwd, 1 rwd and 1 awd.. the other 2 are open..

Subapoo would never make that. They're all AWD.

Also, if you score calder i'm up for track racing. 400m never ever ever ever interested me. I also suggest we shove bumpy on the track, his racing lines are magical.

both ideas are pretty good i reckon, i would much rather drag another car as a competition and not just forthe sake of draging. track races also sounds good , but what happens incase of crashes and stuff. Some people might get a bit to excited . I would prefer 1/4. quick and exciting . hope my car doesnt sell by then, anyone wanna drive it up for me to drag
