Hey All,

Who is keen for a Team4G Nationals event weekend... like the EvoNats.

A weekend event for everything 4G to compete.

If there is enough interest im happy to help organize it.

But my first concern is, number of ppl attending. Based on my experience Team4G cruises / events get 3/5th of fuck all ppl attending, even after confirming on the forum.

Anyway, if your seriously keen on an event like this let me know.

Josh

Sounds good but its the travel that sucks ass. Melbourne is a long way to travel for guys in NSW let alone QLD'ers. If you drive you cant race your car in case something goes bang, and if you chuck it on a car float and tow it the costs in hiring a car trailer + fuel are astonishing. I put my car on a trailer and towed it from here to West Sydney and back in my sister's Toyota Prado and it cost me $95 just in fuel alone for a 200km trip there and 200km trip back. Then add toll charges and $95 for a car float per day :( All up was about $220 one way. Sometihng like that would be awesome to attend as long as it got a decent turnout to make it worthwhile. It does cost a bit to travel long distances with overnight stays so people will need a lot of time to scrounge up the cash :)

fq400 im more then happy to help you organise and spread the word

but insted of team4g nationals i think it should be opend up to mitsubishi GTO and liberos and galants (newer ones) this would 1 increase the numbers of people attending

but yeah like i said PM me i will be more then happy to make some calls at work and send emails and cold call places in regards to sponsorship

what would the event hold?

trackday? drag day? i can also make some calls get a mobile dyno or somthing at a track day have a dyno run there

but yeah PM me if you want help or to catch up and talk about this

and if you want to know what i have organised although not real cars i did run all the vic RC drift championships and all autosalon drift comps

this included 12 rounds and 3 rounds at autosalon with prizes totaly close to 2500 (alot for RC people)

My thoughts were 3 Events

Track Event @ Sandown , Drag Event at Calder and Dyno Challenge at a convenient workshop or if somebody has access to or can organize a mobile dyno then that works for me.

As for cars eligible to enter, i dont think we can be too fussy as im sure it will be hard to get 30+ ppl involved as it is. For track hire at sandown i believe 30 car would be required to make it worth it.

Maybe just make it a turbo'd Mitsubishi event? Comments pls.

Fully aware of the costs for interstates, as i just had these issues going to EvoNats in Canberra. Cost me around $2k to attend.

We need to get EOI's so we can see where the interested people are and go from there.

Ive spoken to several ppl already and seems a fair bit of interest from ppl i know will attend.

i have no issues with anything just tell me if you want me to make some calls or anything

why not just at calder...
drags, short track, long track and international track(you would be lucky to get them to open this though i reckon) over two days in the same place.

also i would not be interested in a dyno comp at all, so if it was a combined cost over all the events i wouldnt be interested in that side of it. just means more $ for less fun

i wouldn't be interested in a dyno comp either, but i would be very interested in a hillclimb

well done guys, it would be great to see this get of the ground :)

What about breaking it up?

Have 4 rounds?

1. drag
2. track
3. dyno
4. gymkhana (lol)

one each 1/4.

Every year there will be 1 car that wins the trophy?
We could do it in all states if there is enough interest?

4 rounds 1 every three months.

didnt Baz just start a thread like this?

should keep it all in 1 thread so it dont get all over the place.

could also do it all in the one weekend have drags at heathcoat, shep deca for motorkarnha and curcuit winton

sounds like a plan to me.

Start it off in VIC as there seems to be alot of interest here.
See how it turns out and we'll move it around in other states? Obviously we'll need other state members to be more active in regards to organising events etc.

well maybe we need to make a post and find out where the most memembers are well active members

so say VIC, townsvill, ?? other ones?

like i said if you need any help making calls i can do it next two weeks at work are dead hence why im on the net and watching dvds LOL

ok give calder park a call and see what the cost would be to hold a track only / 1/4mile only and combined day.

then call Sandown a ask about circuit hire costs.

thx
