I've noticed that the throttle body that came with my engine had one of the water fittings missing and the other was pretty badly damaged so I had to remove it.
Does anyone know where I can get new press in fittings? I know I can probably get thread type ones but I'd prefer the same press in ones as standard so I don't have to go to the trouble of tapping etc.

I'd prefer to fix this one than have to go to the trouble of finding another 64mm throttle body as the manifold has already been match ported.

Found them on efihardware.com, for future reference if anyone is looking for them...

Can anyone help also, as I think the throttle body that I have is actually off an EVOIII but I'm unsure (inlet measures 64mm), how do I go about running the vacuum lines to this? I only have a single vacuum nipple on the throttle body but there are 3 x vacuum lines on the stock GTi/GSR one. Do I just block these off?

Can anyone confirm from the pics below what this is actually off?

Nobody can help?

I also need to find a gasket for this thing but from looking at images of throttle body gaskets for VR4's, and Magnas they don't seem to match up?

Does anyone have a part number? I'd like to get hold of a gasket before the weekend so I can fit this back to the throttle body.

Yeah I figure I can make the gasket up if need be, I'll just buy some gasket paper. But it would be easier to just buy a ready made gasket.

What about the 3 vacuum lines into 1? Is it just a case of blocking off the other two hoses?

That doesnt look like an evo TB, the nipple is facing the the lip, on the evo it faces the intake

Where do the 3 vacuum lines go to??

The EVO nipple has a hose that goes to another small metal tube then another hoes from the end of the tube goes to the charcoal canister

I will have a look tomorrow to see if its the same as a v6 magna. Its 4pin tps and no throttle stop switch suggest its not a 1g.

Regards ports.
Check on your throttle body where the holes go. The important part is where they are in relation to the throttle blades opening angle. You should be able to determine what is what from there.

Where do your 3 ports go? Egr, evap carbon canister, and 1more?

[sub]ok, what you do is a little trick we do on A-series engines... clean out the old steel pipe, go down to a brake shop and get a length of steel brake line, get them to ball flare the end, now cut to length, bit of emery strap on the end of the pipe to rough it... now use welch plug sealent and tap it in,,,,, done!!![/sub]

Thanks for the help guys, I'll have to have a read through and study those diagrams to sort out how to hook this thing up.

I'm not sure exactly where the current hoses go to as I haven't gotten under the hood to have a look in detail yet. The setup in the GTi is identical to what the CC GSRs have in terms of TB configuration.

I'm thinking it may be easier to just go to a VR4, Evo, or Magna setup as I'm concerned about troubleshooting issues especially seeing as the ECU I'm using won't have a correct tune, TB issues are just going to add another element of confusion and things that can go wrong.

CYBORG-X that was my plan now that I have the fittings, I was going to go with welsh plug glue - can't beat the stuff.

I would really like to keep this TB as it's already 63mm, but if it's easier to go 60mm straight plug and play that might be my only option.

There appears to be additional holes through the inside of the TB also, not sure what these are for?

Am I better off going for something like this?

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/MITSUBISHI-MAGNA-VERADA-1991-1997-TR-S-3-0-V6-6G72-THROTTLE-BODY-WITH-TPS-SWITCH-/271135377065?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3f20ed86a9&_uhb=1

Are these 60mm?

Yeah I think I've decided to persevere with it.

So the bypass holes, when I make up the gasket I need to allow for these holes in the gasket also right?

I've managed to finally get a look under the hood of the GTi for a comparison of the throttle bodies. The good news is that the plugs are exactly the same so I won't have a problem with the electrics, but the vacuum lines still have me a little confused.

I've taken some pics, hopefully someone can shed some light on what is required and what isn't. Also, I'm not sure if the fact that I'll be using a Haltech means I can remove any of the vac lines?

You have the diagrams so you need to work them out.
If you have only one port, like you do. Then that is to run the carbon canister. The others will run the egr.

If you are going to delete the egr then you only need the single port.
