So... turns out the tyre place didn't do my wheel nuts up and it just got very expensive for their insurance company.

Dinted Fuel Tank
Bent Exhaust + Hangars
Destroyed Brake Rotor
Destroyed Hub
Destroyed Wheel studs
Destroyed 18x8.5 Axis RSGT (Can you still buy these? Otherwise whole new set of rims for me)
Paint damage
Broken rear bar
Broken dog leg
Possibly cracked coilover mount
Possibly damaged rear driveshaft.

I took photos but can't get them off my phone yet.

Also, it's a very interesting feeling when you see your wheel go past you at 60kmh!

Yep, I have some interesting photos and a story to tell now :D

My mechanic who was driving at the time (i was in the passenger seat) was like "That's a bit too much excitement for a Tuesday."

holy crap!
thats no good mate

my uncle had his NL fairlane in the tyre shop getting a wheel balance etc done
had 100 spoke wires on it..
the douche bag didn't do up 1 of the wheel nuts/knock offs(like a V8 supercar)
the fact he made it out the driveway and to the corner amazed the owner of the shop to start with...
as it would have to be that loose that the car would have been wobbling around..and yeah
it fell off new bumper and paint and brakes etc later..

I had 4 new tyres fitted once.
Went to the car, checked the wheel nuts and proceeded to take off the left rear passenger side wheel nuts with my hands.
Needless to say I had 'words' with the place.

To be perfectly honest, the car currently runs like an absolute dream.

The 272's have made the engine extremely responsive, the cleaned out valvetrain clatters like a bitch but I can accept that. It currently still drives, just wobbles a bit under brakes.

Maybe I should've bought that sw20...

damnz....... merry xmas to there insurance company.... least the car is hopefully still in good nick.....

I'd prefer not to as I've used the tyre shop for 5 years now and never had a previous issue and will continue to use them into the future.

And it's not on my insurance, it's on theirs.

The car still drives rather fine. I can use it to get around town, just can't go down the highway or whatever on it.
