true and speaking of which i ment the shockproof stuff
 
i used shock proof in my box, never again.

but not because of the above, mainly because i was smashing bits left right and centre and i got fed up with the price of a "quat" of redline.

once you've used it, its a basssard to get out, flush, flush, flush, flush and flush again.

also it was a pain when it was cold, once warmed however i never had a problem.

also, i only expect my gearboxes to last between 25,000-50,000kms.

why is this shockproof so bad to use?? is it a very thin oil?? cos im about to try motul oil in my box to try help with my lsd and making it not so locking up so much. but if this doesnt motul doesnt work im looking at trying something else and shockproof was suggested.
 
if your lsd is making alot of noise, just go buy some redline lsd additive.
its about 25 bux and you add it to any oil to make it slippery (less noise on lsd).

but im already using a lsd oil. can i use this as well as a lsd oil??

What exactly is the oil that you are using?

The additive can be used in any oil. The additive is used in all redline oils already.

The additive can be added to any oil also, the more you use, the more slippery the oil gets (for lsd noise to go). But you dont want to make it so slippery that the LSD stops working properly. Its basically an add into oil, test, add test until your happy with the result.

I used a whole bottle with my diaqueen 75-90 oil and it stopped the noise (clunking). So far so good!

is that diaqueen a lsd oil?? so it would be ok if i use this additive with a lsd oil?? i currently use castrol ltx90 lsd oil but im about to change to the motul pu90 as it was recommened for kazz, cusco and nizmo lsd's. cos im running a cusco lsd in a fwd and it locks up heaps i feel it thru the wheel even going round a long sweeping corner and im just trying to make it abit easier and not so harsh thru thru the steering wheel. does anyone here use any other aftermarket lsd in there car??

I had a cusco mechanical LSD in the back of my old VR4 (DIE STI) and it only made clunking noises when doing sharp turns at low RPM's

has anyone had one in the front of there car?? dre cos mine is front wheels drive it hops alot on any kind of turns really and im just wondering if i change the iol can i smooth it out abit so its not so harsh on turns but still does the job its spose to.
 
im running a kaaz 1.5 in my front...
it does clunk with the wrong oil (non lsd)

diaqueen is not lsd. thats why i added the bottle of redline additive.. fixed it right up!
 
so if i use this new motul pu90 lsd oil and add abit of the redline additive it might fix my problem??
