Hey all,

Need to suss my intake pipe.. but the predicament is that I would be running the stock MAF now, but it is possible that i would be changing it in the future to say a 2g or 3g or who knows..

What do you people run for intake pipes? Post up some pics :D

For the time being it would be going on a 14b, but would need to be able to go on a 16g as well (that shouldn't be an issue)... Are the differences in MAF's big enough to require a different intake pipe?

I'm very confused .. I just wanna get my intake done

Most people here run K&N's too?

Stock.

My friend is making me a SS intake pipe to go where the battery is, which will probably go to the stock aircan, he's also going to make me an adapter to use an Apexi pod filter for the stock AFM, but I'm trying to find a chippable ecu so I can run a evo/magna afm right now

yeah my battery is in the boot so i'm ready to have the air filter sit there

i'm keen to have intake and front mount done by february..

but then like usual, to do intake, i should upgrade the afm, and to upgrade the afm, i should get a single board ecu and chip it. grrr

Can the stock rubber piping be moved to the intake?
if its still in the stock position,
try this:

(from the autospeed articles thread)

if you get an 055/609 afm, you could just use an safc or emanage i guess

im going to get it made up as soon as my 16g and manifold are on so you can see what its like

heres some pics of his other work though

i have no idea on price though

The stock piping so SOOOOOO restrictive it aint funny, i went a homemade intake pipe (straight) + 2G AFM + Pod
Boost went from 17psi to over 25psi with that mod alone :D

hey baz did you just heaps of silicon flexi stuff for that? get like one bend from an exhaust shop or something?

cos thats basically what i want

what maf did you use too?

yeah, easiest way

get 2 x 45 degree bends, with silicon hoses to connect, cut to size, clamp..
and it'll pretty much sit like mine..

you'll probably need a 2.5" to 3" reducer

3" is for the air can
2.5" is for the turbo
