i wonder how much boost it made before it let go. this car was driven with the gates blocked this way for a couple of months before this happened.
 
This bloke wasn't an American was he? They love running max boost.
I bet i was a fun couple of months!

no ....the car is right now in my drive way. new engingine time
 
little update.......took off the turbo and manifold.

turbo was rooted.....so it probably didnt make that much boost anyway. the genius had left the centre clamp loose and the compressor housing could be spun. and it had about 5 mm of sideways movement

I bet for a little while there he thought it was a hektik modification :lol:
 
But Wait there is MORE.

huge fuel pump in boot .......no swirl pot. this pump is just fed by the standard pump. fail

standard fuel pressure reg= fail

standard injectors

wrong air flow meter for evo 2 ecu
 
nice can anyone offer some adivse on how to modify my block like that. will that improve my perforamce????

Nah, no need to go to all that trouble, just drain all the oil out and then redline the motor and then you too will have the light weight knobhead version of the block.

when we did that to an old 3K we were severely disappointed as the engine just started slowing down :(

no boom :(
