check the play in the diff... also look at the oil galary inside were the shaft goes and see if it has been damaged. i have been through this problem around 10 times before converting to 4 bolt.
That comment there is Fu*kn scary.
Do you mean to say you have broken 10 shafts?
Id have to say this has got something to do with the diff.
The diff must somehow be loading shafts, how i dunno, but its the only link, and the oil gallery thing that 3Diamonds mentioned....Hows the oil gallery work...Do you know what it lubricates?
As far as them being balanced, well arent they all the same items, they dont have weights on them from what i know, and theyre not sleeved two piece shafts so they couldnt be in at 180 degrees out...theyre cast one piece so i dont even see how they could be out of balance......if im wrong let me know.
And tyres,if your driveline fell apart with different wear on tyres then Mitsubishi would have sold no cars.Has anyone seen the space saver,Its 18mm smalelr than standard,So if 18mm is OK to drive on
temporary according to Mitsubishi then i doubt 2mm of treadwear is goin to break a shaft etc....I know people who have f*cked up and put the wrong tyres on,some had probs, some didnt..but there has to be some give in the driveline,i run 8 in fronts and 9 in rears,I aint had no problems...*fingers Crossed*
Look at the diff.
