When I said to my friends this morning that I had to 4wd to get to work...

This was ONE of the obstacles. It was much higher when I went through though...

some of the "4WD's" were turning around... me on the other hand? Never!

RVR's can do anything ;)

LOL! Holy shit which part of Brisie was that? I can't say I had to drive through anything like today but I do enjoy the confidence of 4WD in the wet :D

Kallangur. Looking back, I'm glad I know the area well, because I guessed where the gutters are... I'll take a normal pic tomorrow for reference

I just would have been going for speed and making huge wakes with tides going over :D

Immature fun! B)

Meanwhile, what actually happened? why was it flooded?

Yeah Brisbane had some serious flash flooding yesterday.
You can't just "plough through" there, the problem is all the little islands that are submerged and the gutters... knowing where they were was the hardest part, as they're the type to "bite" but I got there.

thats just up the road from your place... not the first time thats flooded lol. How was the creek down the road, I bet it was flowing quite well.

Steve... THAT WAS THE CREEK.
That's not the round about right near mine, that's the one off another road, I'll show it to you another time... but yeah. Was fun!

I agree with the the awd being great,I live up that way ,and on monday i had to take the eterna from lawnton to maleny and back with a trailer to help move some stuff which i couldnt get out of.the car feels sure footed on the highway with the sheets of water across it.not scary like front wheel drive and aquaplaning at the front end at least.

How are you guys going over there with the rain & flooding? Much damage to property and vehicles?

How are the insurers going - is it labelled a catastrophe or is the weather subsidnig?

Much props on the RVR style white water rafting, Matt :)
