well its a genuine evo one motor as darren informed me i dont think he wanted to hurt ure feelings haha but things arew on the good oh she luanches like a rocket but dies in the arse ill get it sorted an copme back with some good news

well i think he should have told me as i would have just returned it.

yeah get the prob fixed and we will all head up to calder or something =)

hopefully ill have a new car by then
 
im heading up to calder this friday with jstyle an darren if weather is good an if exhaust is on gunna do a lil tuning i guess an see how it goes...

yeah look could well be a e3 motor but i said to him is it an e3 coz that wat i was told wen i bought it an he sed nah its an e1 motor all the same i guess just gotta get her top end sorted an it'll will be fun back to destroying rexies....an hopefully into a high 12 low 13... here's to hoping anyway...
 
tUfRiCe mate you car launches like crazy minus all the black crap you left me with and odd lookin exhaust from the rear....... hope Jons exhaust with the new dump and tuning takes that flat spot away...... love to follow your evo again back from jons joint pickin up chicks along the way 8) ...... fully sick.....
 
once u get the exhaust on and put a decent dump pipe in.. with a new flash i think it will run high 12s.. i think the main problem is the exhaust is soo restrictive.. and possibly your not making 16psi.. maybe its spiking to 16psi due to the fact that you have a factory dump pipe still..

however that said.. im still trying to work out with ecu the EA24C.. when i find out ill let ya know..

now that sounds fishy i never had a stock dump pipe...

only restrictive bit i had on the car was the muffler

definately has a stock dump pipe and also the exhaust is restrictive.. it goes from like 3' into 2 set of 2' pipes into the muffler.. it doesnt sound like the normal noise an evo makes.. so yer.. once sorted it should b fine.

i know about the restrictive muffler coz that was on the dot with legal limits when i got epa'd

but dunno bout the dump pipe sounds like something got changed.
 
just take it to someone that know a thing about cars and get them to look over it instead of doing your own head in about it

thats what i would do LoL
 
yeh exhaust goes on on thursday so see how its goes...ill pull the heat shield off annhave a good look at the dump hopefully its the reason but i rekon the ecu has something to do with it my mate thinks its getting overfuelled or somethin.. i think we are gunna have a play with ity on friday night at calder with jstyle an darren
 
yeh jay rome that was funny as ure galant gsr is sweet aye come on a cruise with us next time or up to the twisty's with those crazy fellas its awesome dude peace....
 
even with a stock dump pimp and restrictive exhaust shouldnt be at least pullin stock times? .. how restrictive is it? stock exhaust?..
 
its not exatly a stock exhaust, from what we could see last sat day, it still has the stock dump into 3" piping through cat and res then shrinks into wat looks like 2.75" then splits into twin 2" and into the HUGE yet odd looking muffler....... really doesnt sound like an evo...... and is the freakin oddest lookin thing when you first look at it.... no offence tUfRiCe..... lets put it this way..... tUfRiCe evo in front and my galant n/a behind, we hit eastern fwy entrance and both foot to floor 1st & 2nd he pulls away then 3rd gear ........ about the same cant pull away just a load of black sheit comin out the exhaust....... its odd......

and yer tUfRiCe i'll come to the twisty's when i finish installin the intake and re makin the exhaust (again) meet up with all the crazy fellaz up in this forumz.....
 
well.....Update...

Put on the new exhaust today and DAMN......................
it freakin flies runs 20 pounds of boost an onli drops back a whisker so it was the exhaust spools up fast an sounds tuff as rice can be.....

the exhaust was rooted.. went from 3' to cat to 3' to 2.5' to 3' then to twin 2' pipes then muufler...uh thats a mouthful

now its straight 3' and it flies pulls real hard gunna lay down some times on friday....its not flat anymore..but i turned to boost down... would love to know why the ecu lets it do that it may already be chipped but i love my car again

oh yeah did i say its fast....
 
ehhehe good to hear the evo is up and running properly that was the fuglyest exhaust on an evo i have ever seen..... bet the magna flow sounds and looks crazy now........ and i'm fairly sure your ecu is from an CD9A evo (which your car is), they only used 2 ecu's for that engine EA24B or EA24C but dunno the map diff between the 2.... dont matter now your cars fine heheeheh have fun with the more power.......

yeah i was running 22psi with that ecu on the old motor.
