I don't really require a full build motor as its just gonna be put into my spare run around car.
As long as it works and won't give me any trouble. $600-800.

You won't get much out of that type of $.

Maybe an NA engine from the wreckers?
Or Ebay sometime has some engines going cheap.

Problem is you don't know the true condition unless you pull it apart or see it running prior.

Have you had your engine apart. What's it condition? At this stage I'm considering yours. Had offer for a cheap evo motor as well but I guess I would have to change mounts and stuff.

G4cs has only a single cam head so you need a g4cp head (or vr4 or modded evo)
Also it may have no valve cutouts on the pistons so tread carefully.
Wiseco do 6bolt pistons in 020 over for the g4cs
Was think of the Mahle or Wiseco 86.5 piston. Not too sure on compression ratio. Any suggestions?

You have to measure bore first. It might be already bored to 87mm.
Cp do 87mm pistons but they are for 2g rods. Wiseco do either 1g or 2g 87mm pistons. 1g will fit your rods. I think they are 564m87
Your rods are the same as the vr4 1g rods.

Congrats on a good pick up. Are they old stock at a engine recon shop?

^ Yeah, keen to know where you scored it from - I made tonnes of phone calls to wreckers and put the word out over their 'hotline' and came up with zero.
