Can never be too careful, especially when leaving toll booths;)

Cheeky bugger!! Hmmm, rear axles might not be a bad idea though!
I found the gearbox leak too ( I think )
It is leaking from the seal that goes around the shifter lever shaft into the box.
The only way I could try to fix it without removing the box and pulling it down was to fill the sucker with silicone.
I'll know this time tomorrow if it worked :)

And yes, it is only a matter of time before one of my rear axles has a shattering experience!

i have 2 spare shafts at mums, I will bring them in the sv6. wait till mid next year and we will go for a drag night. let the time slips do the talking

galant vr4 stock - 147kw at flywheel
commodore sv6 stock - 190kw at flywheel
sv6 1/4 - around 13.9 stock

Where did you find that info Craig. Every site I found quoted 15.2-15.3 for the Vz SV6???

Doesn't matter I guess, will be settled at the next drag night :)

Hey Craig, will I ever get my rear left CV shaft from the J-Spec back?

I'm looking forward to this drag night!

Dunno if I'll make it on saturday :(

I'm having big exhaust leak somewhere between extractors and dump pipe *sigh*

bringing it to the exhaust shop tomorrow if I can get it there...

Tim this rear shaft thing? does that mean I need to keep some spare?

I'm probably not making the same power as you? Do EVOS suffer from rear drive shafts Xploding?

I did this on the GSR, it works if you fill it in and around the spiggot, then leave the car in 5th overnight and let it set (5th gear pulls the lever all the way up and gives it clearance to set) it worked for me.

Hahaha, stress less, everyone is worried about rear shafts, you wont break one, its a galant VR4 thing, and it doesnt start happening until you break the first one, then the havoc follows....

Ok so which exit do i take to get to Yatala BP??
The one just AFTER it. No, I'm not kidding. You actually drive past the BP (it's on a service road) and 100 metres later, you take the Yatala (North?) turn off and double back on yourself to go back to the BP.

I suggest we all mosey on round the back of the servo as there is generally more parking room back there.

Jetgsr, you are still running gsr running gear aren't you?

mohammed you can have it back after this cruise, if it isn't in someones car...

yatala north exit for bp. at the roundabout take the first exit (left) and the it's the first drive way that you can go into.

drive round the back of the servo like rob said plenty of parking.
