X-mas cruise NOTE: 20-12-2008 DON'T MISS IT

Ive just been notified and received a picture text message of the first casualty in this brisbane cruise.

A lancer gsr with vr4 conversion has come off the road and received damage to its front and rear bars and cooler piping damaged.

Happened over a crest under braking.

I'm told everyone is ok and bush mechanicals is in full swing.....

There will be updates later on in the evening.

Please be careful on cruises people, esp on tight mountain roads....we dont want any fatalities in our club!
We've already lost one member this year..

was a good day out!!

Unfortuantely there was one accident as above but everyone was ok and jono's car was able to complete the cruise minus a couple of bumpers and a few cooler pipes!!

was good to meet up with people and put some faces to names!!

cant wait for the next QLD 4g cruise!!

was a good day, and may have given me some inspiration to waste more $$$ on my 4G. yes jono's car did finish the cruise minus front and rear bars and a hot wired turbo (no intercooler) we tried repairing the top intercooler pipe but it just split again from the heat from the manifold.

Jono is very lucky to have walked away from that, it could have been alot worse.

Good day out

Was a great drive, good backroads too, lots of corners, not much traffic and only saw 1 cop the whole day.

Pacecar did a great job and managed to keep a gap between the rest of the field alot of the time, was hard to catch that barina unless he slowed down to let everyone catch up.

Was a good turnout too
9 or 9 mitsis a barina a commodore and a beemer

Have to do it all again sometime
So us whos cars were out of action can partake

enjoy that carton boys, ill be back up in townsville. Had a great time on the cruise. i'm heading to harvey bay on tuesday. first leg on my trip back to townsville.

Yeh it was a good cruise have to use those roads again hopefully without the truck and grandma in that echo blocking the road.

Well i finaly got home a 8:15!! im glad i diddent go the whole way
Went to see my brother and give him a lift to his car wich wasent around the corner like he told me.

Good to see you made it jonno,when i was catching you on the M1 i was thinking the car looked familiar...lol

I was extreemly happy that my car stayed in one piece, and actually finished the cruise with out any dramas.

next cruise I will have some new rotors(discs) mine are black, I have completely worn all the slots off the rotor.

might even have some semis, so Jamie in your little pace car WATCH OUT!
