Hey guys, wanting to give my HSG a couple of runs on a dyno to check afr's and other tuning essentials and get a base power figure. Wondering what 4x4 dyno operator in the melb area has good experience with the 4g63. I'm not massively mechanically minded and want someone i can trust with my...

    Fuel consumption

I'll get between 320-380km out of a full tank on average, maybe 400 if i'm lucky. That's around town. Highway, easily 500km. Exhaust and pod (for now ;))

    Anyone Changed to HIDs?

It might sound like a cop-out if you're really keen on HID's, but just upgrade to a decent phillips (or similar) white bulb like to4garret mentioned. It made a heap of difference on mine as now i don't have to rely on the dull yellow crap that the factory deems sufficient. Takes 2 mins to...

I did have plans, untill i realised how hard (not to mention expensive) it is to find rvr suspension..... Where did you source the RSR springs from, and have you got a pic your old ride with the springs in??

Thanks dude, yeah quality rim the the OZ racing...just wish they were an inch wider! Manual....no other way for me sir ;-)

what kind of rims do you have out there?

Don't know about the adapters, been told to just shave out the center hub of the rim a little to get it to fit over the RVR hub....otherwise it wont sit properly. Yeah, i like the look of both....and correct, lower would = better, but it's so hard to find quality stuff for our rvr's.

what kind of rims do you have out there?

Pics of HSG with both rims..... i'm still liking the tougher look of the gtr's...might have to go back (once fitment issues sorted.)

    sportsgear rvr help

^^^^ haha, you're welcome dude! Yep, and rims falling off during driving from loose lugs also wouldn't be cheap lol (as what almost happened to me when i originally fit the gtr's) :o

    sportsgear rvr help

i've just been told from a good source that we can't run nissan rims unless we machine out the center hub housing of the rim, as they dont quite fit over the hub therefore not allowing the lugs to be fully tightened.....

Pretty stock atm dude, just 3" exhaust with metalcat, and pod filter. Pretty dam quick on the street as it is, but going to get a stainless intake, bit more boost, and a chip/tune soonish....i'd love around 170-180awkw , and that's the path to it from what i see around the forums! Pics...

    RVR Hsg Dyno result

So judging on what you guys have said, my HSG with 3" exhaust inc. metalcat and pod filter 'should' be around the 150-155awkw mark? Feels dam quick on the road for those mods alon, and it's a very healthy motor (75000km)....so i shouldn't be supprised with those kind of numbers?? Oh, and mine...

Thanks guys, yes the HSG does have a uniquely tough appearance! Not to mention, almost nobody (that isn't in the know) has any idea wtf it is lol!! Massive bonus in my eyes  Will throw some pics up asap.
